Holding it In
A personal, intimate film, telling the story of a nuclear family that decides to become a surrogate family and help a childless couple get with child. The protagonists of the film are the surrogate couple, Chen Rotem and Omer Yefman who turn the camera lens on themselves from the moment they decide upon this course and throughout the entire process.
Expectation and disappointment, the hardships along the way, the children growing into the process and the couple awaiting the child growing within Chen's womb, all converge unto an exposed, delicate oeuvre.
For the first time, we are allowed a rare glimpse into the 'host's' side of things in the complicated, fascinating process of surrogacy. Chen and Omer open their home and life and bravely share their family's tumultuous journey.
