Tamara Erde

Tamara Erde, born in Tel Aviv in 1982, is a French-Israeli filmmaker living in Paris. She holds a Master‘s degree in Fine Arts from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and a second Master‘s degree from Le Fresnoy in France. Tamara‘s works are diverse in media, from documentary and feature films to video installations, dance and performances. Her works are shown at major film festivals (TIFF Toronto, Rotterdam, Hong Kong Int.) as well as in theaters and galleries. In parallel, Tamara regularly participates in international artist-in-residence programs and leads social projects. Her films often deal with the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and social and historical issues related to nationality, identity and war. Her approach is personal, abstract and investigative. In Paris, Tamara works on various documentary and fiction projects. Of particular note is her collaboration with French novellist Mathias Enard on the documentary MEZZES WITHOUT BORDERS. In parallel, she works as a director for a history magazine of ARTE FRANCE.
