Born in Jerusalem, Omer Shamir lived and studied in India, Mexico and the United States from the age of 16. As a pro-Palestine activist he relocated to Paris where he is now based. His first feature documentary Know Hope is currently in distribution and his short film A Thousand Sheep and One More presented in Clermont Ferrand, 2025. Participated in Meditalents DocLab (2024), developing his next feature documentary about the genocide in Gaza is produced by Unité Films.
