Julia Uotila is completing a Master's in Documentary Film at TAU, merging social sciences & performing arts in her cinematic exploration. Starting in a Helsinki film collective in 2017, she directed a campaign film for Finnish youth leader Liban Sheikh in 2019. Briefly mentored by Jörn Donner, she showcased an installation at a 2023 Finnish arts festival and is now finalizing Northern Lights, an experimental short funded by Vantaa.
