Avi Merkado-Ettedgui and Dani Ashur are the co-creators of the highly acclaimed Docu-Series BIRTH OF A CONFLICT (Channel 11, Israel 2022) about the 30 years of British Empire rule in Palestine and how it contributed to the creation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Avi was the writer-director of this award-nominated 3-part Docu-Series, while Dani was the co-writer and head of research. In Addition, Avi directed the award-winning Documentary YOU HAD TO BE THERE (Channel 11, Israel 2020) about the use of humor during the holocaust as a defense mechanism. As a researcher, Avi won the Canadian Screen Awards for his research in the six-part Docu-series ENSLAVED (Epix, US 2020), starring Samuel L. Jackson, about the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. Avi was also the Story Producer and writer of HOLOCAUST THE REVENGE PLOT (Channel 4, UK 2018), an RTS-

nominated documentary about a group of Jewish survivors who planned to avenge the Nazis by poisoning water plants in Germany and create mass killing.
