Ariel Tagar
Born in Tel Aviv, Ariel Tagar is an accomplished photographer and musician.
Tagar studied photography at the University of the Arts London and worked as a photojournalist.
It was in London where he began a prolific career as an electronic music producer working under the name 'Kalbata'. Ariel's work has always been deeply rooted in underground culture, both in the form of cutting edge music and imagery. His debut film, 'Congo Beat The Drum' is a documentary film shot in Jamaica and Tel Aviv premiered at the Jerusalem Film Festival (JFF) and the Rotterdam Film Festival (IFFR). Tagar is also the co-founder of Fortuna Records, a reissue label specializing in rare & forgotten Middle-Eastern records.
