Copro 26 // About
Forum
Join us at the 25th co-production pitching forum to preview Israel’s most promising docs-in-the-making on Monday, June 5, 2023.
12 outstanding, handpicked projects presented to 50 industry-leading decision-makers, including commissioning editors, investors, agents, and producers.
Close Enconters
One-on-one meetings between Israeli filmmakers and leading international decision-makers –including commissioning editors, producers, and investors – in order to open up new funding channels and co-production opportunities.
The Close Encounters track is designed for projects at various stages of development – both those that aren’t ready for public pitching, and those that have been pitched before and aren’t completed yet.
Rough Cut
6 high-profile documentaries at the rough-cut stage will be exclusively featured on the DocuShuk platform for screening to commissioning editors, distributors, buyers, and other market professionals seeking to acquire films.
Each team will have the chance to present their project in person during a 30-minute sneak-peek session, in order to generate creative, constructive discussion with the market guests, and to help the filmmakers break into international markets and promote sales.
CoPro x TISFF Student Film Labs
CoPro has selected seven student projects for its prestigious Student Lab track, which was created in collaboration with The New Fund for Cinema and Television.
At Student Lab, the young filmmakers take part in several workshops that familiarize newcomers with international standards.
The track’s crowning event is the Student Pitching Forum, where industry decision-makers get to scout for young Israeli documentary talent, and filmmakers get to gauge their work’s international marketing potential.
Screening Room
CoPro Market presents the new Screening Room track – featuring a limited selection of completed, distribution-ready films in the market’s online catalog throughout the month of June (and yearlong on the Copro. Screen platform – formerly known as DocuShuk). The films will be sent to more than a 100 decision makers around the world, that could schedule an online meeting with the Israeli creators during the market week.

Maintaining Orna Yarmut’s Legacy
Orna Yarmut (1956-2018) founded and established the CoPro Foundation in 1999, serving as its executive director until her tragic death in 2018. One of the leading lights of Israel’s documentary film industry, Orna led the foundation with endless devotion and generosity, striving tirelessly to realize her vision of placing the Israeli industry on the world stage.
Since producing the first CoPro Market 23 years ago, CoPro has gained a stellar reputation for financial and artistic achievement. The foundation’s efforts have revolutionized the scope of international co-productions of Israeli documentaries, and boosted sales abroad.
Orna fostered countless global partnerships, gaining significant attention for Israeli documentaries, and initiating numerous high-profile, award-winning international productions. Thanks to her work and the strides made by the Israeli film industry with CoPro’s help, the foundation is now an influential part of the film ecosystem both in Israel and worldwide.
We at CoPro are committed to carrying on Orna’s legacy with the same passion and drive that she brought to promoting Israeli creation.
